Dear friends from Sultan Hostel, Since we returned to Portugal I miss the ends of the days (or nights) spent chatting at the café. I can only say good things about of Sultan hostel and about all the ones that work there and in the café. I am currently in Madrid, but next week I will return to Portugal and I hope I will have the opportunity to send to you as soon as possible the photos that we take together. I\\\\\\\'ve read and seen the news about Turkey (Istanbul). I hope everything its ok with you guys. Since this is a guest book I must say that I felt at home in Sultan hostel… In fact, me and the girls (Flávia and Fátima) when we were returning to the hostel normally after a day of “hard tourism”… we used to say let´s go home. I can\\\'t say enough great things about this place. Location is perfect, we walked to the grand bazaar, Hagya Sophia, Tokapi palace. We always felt safe. The staff is amazing, friendly, and easy to look at :) When I come back I will definitely stay here again.

I traveled to Istanbul with two friends of mine, where we stayed in Sultan Hostel for 5 nights. Because of the low price you have to pay for a room, we wondered whether the Hostel is really as great as it is declared on the homepage. Having checked in, we realized that this place was even better. The breakfast, which is free for guests of the hostel, consists of bread, cheese, tomatoes, tea, coffee and some more. The rooms were cleaned every morning and the beds were comfortable. The location of the hostel was nearly perfect. It is in the old part of Istanbul and in 5 minutes walk you can be at the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sofia or at the Marmara Sea. At the evening it is possible to offer an Efes, a very nice meal or a waterpipe for an acceptable price. The stuff is very kind and available 24 hours a day at the reception. I would gladly return to Sultan Hostel

Hemos regresado tras pasar nueve días en Estambul, alojados en el Sultan Hostel. El ambiente es estupendo, la situación del hostel es inmemorable, a un paso del centro y muy bien comunicado; pero sobre todo hay que destacar el inigualable staff que nos ha hecho la estancia muy, muy agradable. En particular queremos agradecer la amabilidad, simpatía y eficiencia de Gabriela, que nos ayudó en todo momento, y de Hassan que nos enseñó las virtudes del backgammon. Lo único que habría que mejorar es la calidad de la ropa de cama. Recomendaremos sin duda el hostel y si algún día volvermos, repetiremos experiencia. Un abrazo a todos!!

I've been coming to Istanbul on and off for a year now and I wouldn't consider anywhere but Sultan Hostel now. The staff and Gabriella in particular are lifesavers (almost literally). Nothing is too much trouble for them and they will really look out for you if you need their help. (Which I did) The rooms are cosy and warm, the showers are hot and the location cant be bettered. Breakfast is plentiful and the bar is laid back in the morning and no end of fun at night. It's a great place to meet folk from anywhere in the world and get a handle on Istanbul, if it is your first trip or your tenth. Bless you guys!

Dear Sultan Hostel Staff, It has been a week since I returned from Istanbul. I have spent 10 great days at the Sultan Hostel and I would like to thanks every single member of staff including the owner. I had a wonderful time and I wrote down my experience at the International Hosteling in how appreciated my stay at you lovely hostel. Nosotros estuvimos en el hostel a finales de noviembre y fue estupendo. Lo mejor es que en el bar trabaja una chica que se llama Gabriela. Es muy amable y habla español perfectamente. Se agradece muchisimo que alguien te ayude a comunicarte y te explique cosas que sería imposible averigüar en turco o en ingles, para los que solo lo chapurreamos. Es muy agradable volver por la noche y poder charlar con alguien mientas disfrutas de un te de manzana. Gracias Gabriela

ich freue mich so sehr das ich bald zum 4. mal im sultan hostel sein werde. Super Hostel mit allem was man sich Wünschen kann.Das Essen war Top,der service war sehr sehr gut das super nette personal begeistert mich jedes mal . das hostel ist einfach nur top und 100% weiter zu empfehlen , wer sich wohl fühlen will ist im sultan hostel richtig. bis bald

It was a while ago now, but feel compelled to write that Sultan Hostel is the very BEST experience I've had in my four-year, 11-country record of traveling. Gorgeous setting, fantastic location, but what really sets this place apart is the staff. Professional and friendly and young but caring. Highly recommended.

whatever i say about Sultan Hostel wont be enought !! I have spent an excellent week, and felt so bad while leaving the place, i really felt as if i was at home.
